Three words to best describe you:
Honest, dependable, driven
Anything else you want to share (family, hobbies, whatever)
I have a beautiful 17 year old daughter who excels in softball, but even more in the classroom. She loves medical classes and should graduate with 3 medical certifications on top of her regular diploma. I also have a beautiful wife that takes great care of us as well. She is extremely smart and can help our daughter with her classes(I have no clue when it comes to books anymore), makes sure her chaotic schedule is kept, and loves our 3 dogs as well. I love spending time with both of them although it is limited. I also love playing and watching sports, I am really into racquetball again right now, and I am very competitive at everything I do. I hate to lose.
What do you like most about Slate Group?
The people. I have worked with a lot of these guys for almost 20 years and we are very customer oriented.
What do you like most about your role at Slate Group?
being able to work with clients all over the country, being able to help each individual client solve printing solutions along with getting to know them better and build relationships. Bottom line is the relationships you build are huge not just for business but for your whole life. I have many clients I consider friends at this point and to be able to help their business grow is icing on the cake.
What drew you to Slate Group originally?
My dad was the bindery foreman when I was a teenager and I used to come up and work with him some and fell in love with printing.
What has been your favorite project at Slate Group?
This is a hard one to pick because I have been her for almost 22 years and have seen millions of print pieces a this point, but… we did do one piece I always look at that was for Joy Global that I am particularly fond of. It had a hard back cover with a foil and an emboss for the cover and it had spot uv coating on each and every page on the photos and they popped off the page and it had a nice perfect binding to it as well.
