Aspirations and Goals as a Human Being:
I’ve been asked this question before and my answer remains the same: During my time on Earth, I just want to be a good person, take care of my family, and make good memories along the way. Oh, and never stop learning about the world around me.
Education, Experience, and Credentials:
I’m a graduate of Texas Tech University. with a B.A. in Communication Design.
I’ve spent over a decade in senior leadership at an advertising agency before joining Slate Group in 2014.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Eat borderline coma-inducing asian food. Preferably thai food.
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” – Steve Jobs
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us:
I’m an introvert.
What do you like most about Slate Group?
Everyone works non-stop, full speed, day in and day out.
What do you like most about your role at Slate Group?
We’re a print marketing company. But before we can print anything, it must first be designed. I’m a part of that very important first step. The most exciting part of the design/print process happens when I’m standing on the production floor, holding a completed project in my hands, knowing that it all began with a conversation with a customer.
What drew you to Slate Group originally?
Before I ever thought of working at Slate Group, I was first friends with Trey Laverty. He told me about the transition from Copy Craft Printers to becoming Slate Group and why that name change was necessary. Copy Craft had evolved from a print shop into a print marketing solution. I wanted to be part of that.
What has been your favorite project at Slate Group?
Our 2015 christmas card. It challenged all of us and also brought us together as a team to dream up something awesome!
