Aspirations and Goals as a Human Being:
I have always said that I want to be the kind of person that people can call in the middle of the night and say they need help to change their flat tire, knowing I will be there as quickly as I can. Dependability, loyalty, and grace are the three qualities I hope I display throughout my life.
Experience, Education and Credentials:
I have experience working for my small-town newspaper. I am currently working towards a degree at Texas Tech University while learning all about the printing industry at Slate Group.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Outside of work you can probably find me on a patio, in a lake, or on a golf course. I love anything that has to do with the outdoors or live music.
“Sometimes you’re a flush and sometimes you’re a bust, and when you’re up it’s never as good as it seems, and when you’re down you never think you’ll be up again, but life goes on.” -Fred Jung
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us:
I used to be an elementary music teacher.
Tell us three things most people don’t know about you:
- I am a big collector of vinyl records
- I am one of the few wise people that like beans in my chili
- I might be Cher’s biggest fan
Three words to best describe you:
Outgoing, feisty, and (usually) hungry.
Anything else you want to share? (family, hobbies, whatever)
I absolutely love being around my nieces and nephews and spending as much time as I possibly can around my family and friends.
What drew you to Slate Group originally?
The moment I walked through the doors for my interview at Slate Group, I felt a sense of comfort. The employees looked happy to be at work, and the environment was so welcoming. Somehow after massive growth and recognition, this local business has maintained that family feel.
