Employee Spotlight: Josie Cortez

For twenty years, Josie Cortez has been making great things happen at Slate Group. She joined us in 1995, working on projects that required padding and inserting. In the time since, Josie has become an expert in all manner of hand-work. We know that any time a project goes through Josie’s workstation the results will be top-notch. The focus that she brings to each and every job is critical—Josie’s attention to detail keeps even the most complicated projects moving efficiently. Her work ethic sets a high standard in the shop, where she embraces every job as a challenge and an opportunity.
Part of what drives Josie’s diligence is how much she enjoys her coworkers. She says that the family atmosphere, built by time spent together in group meals and other events, has long been one of her favorite aspects of working at Slate Group. Josie’s commitment to craft and her coworkers is obvious in her diligence and enthusiasm, and we’re more than proud to be a part of her family.
